Next time you're arguing the toss about who was the last one to buy the loo roll, you might like to point out that a new scientific study reveals that women have better memories. The study shows that not only do women remember more but that their memories improve with age while men's deteriorate.
A team of researchers from the University of London tested how good more than 9,600 middle-aged men and women were at remembering 10 words and recalling them two minutes later.
Lead researcher Matthew Brown said: "Men performed significantly more poorly in the verbal memory tests: particularly on the delayed memory test.
"Previous research has produced similar results but this is the first time that such a large number of middle-aged men and women of the same age have taken memory tests of this kind in the UK."
The volunteers were part of the National Child Development Study (NCDS) who have been followed by researchers since their birth in 1958.
Researchers tested their memory when they were aged just 16 - so can now see how their lifestyle may have affected their scores.
Those volunteers who exercised at least once a month performed better on tests than those who did not. So chasing your other half around the house could help improve your memory even more!
